GUESTBOOK
Subject: Thank You
Dear Philippe,
On behalf of my family and myself, I wanted to thank you for the lovely home in Provence. We had a wonderful vacation - truly one we will remember all our lives.
The home was tranquil and welcoming, the gardens beautiful and the trees around the pool area let us enjoy the warm sunlight outdoors even when it was windy.
I also very much appreciate Josette and her warmth and hospitality and the help offered and given by her, Eric and yourself during our stay. Such a silly thing to put in the wrong fuel and the Easter holiday complicated everything. But with the help of Josette and Eric, it was only a minor inconvenience.
And thank you for calling.
We hope to return someday.
Sincerely,
K.D.

We stayed at La Tres Grande Peyriere.
The villa is very fairy tale like with mature designed borders and drive surrounded by old pines and oaks which in the evening you can just sit and watch the dimming light. It would be marvelous to have it all.
We stayed for two weeks and i never tired of the view of the trees, i was kept company by a very old brown and grey stray female cat that came round which was quite tame and appreciated food and milk and attention as it was tool old to hunt. If your there please do the same.

Second visit even better!
We are a group of three adults (one couple, one single) and stayed again in La Nouvelle Peyriere the last week of May 2015. This second visit was even better than the first one since we already knew the property and did not bring kitchen utensils and too many clothes like last year.
As said in my last review, the kitchen is absolutely perfeclyt equipped with everything on could think of. The fridge is huge and has a big freezer. The appartment features a washing machine and a dryer. The latter is not really needed though since you can dry the laundry outside in the garden.
It was not as hot as last year, we even had some days with a real strong wind which kept us from using the pool and the BBQ. But cooking inside was fun too.
We liked to explore the various markets and buy fresh fish, vegetable, fruit, cheese etc. and prepare dinners ourselvest. There is a market every day somewhere in a nearby village. Don`t miss to visit Beaumes-de-Venise and check out the Muscat wine and the oil mill with a big shop for olive oil and a variety of local products and souvenirs. The oil is not cheap but of high quality. We do not use any other since we tasted this two years ago. A big and beautiful market is Fridays in Carpentras and Sundays in Isle sur la Sorgue. You will find a market plan in the appartment as well as some guide books of the region.
Check in and check out was without any problems. You will receive the code for a little box on the front door from the owner before arrival and so get the key for the appartment. At about 6 p.m. a very friendly lady - Sonia - will be on site to explain everything you would like to know and to collect the deposit. Make sure to speak and understand some French since she speaks very little English and no German. Time for check out has to be fixed with Sonia and she will then come to check the appartment and refund your deposit.
Everything very relaxed and no hassle at all. We can only recommend a stay in this beautiful property in Mazan.

Bonjour Philippe,

Hi Philippe
Well, we have been back in England for nearly 3 weeks now and life is back to normal with work and school.
I would just like to thank you for allowing us some more wonderful memories of La Peyriere and hopefully we will be able to return once again in the future.
Best wishes.

Bonjour Philippe,
Trust all is well with you. Just returned from our European adventure and wanted to sincerely thank you for the excellent accommodation we rented from you.
It was everything (and a little bit more) that was outlined on your website and indeed it provided the tranquility we were seeking. Even 'though the other two properties were occupied, we did not experience any noise issues, but rather enjoyed the brief moments of interaction.
The welcome gift of a pot of home made jam from Josette was much appreciated.
Should we return to this area, we will contact you again and in the meantime, we are sharing your website with friends who show an interest in visiting Provence.
Many thanks and it was our pleasure to have 'met you via email' and received such exemplary professional courtesies.
Kind regards,

Bonjour Philippe,
· Montirius : www.montirius.com
Amicalement,

Subject: Tres Tres bien
Dear Phillipe:
I can not begin to tell you how wonderful our stay was in your lovely cottage.... The weather was fantastic and the accomodations could not have suited us any better... Fred was great and even though my French was very very poor,,,, we managed to communicate rather well...
My friends have been over to France too many times to say and they thought the setting such peace and quiet ,,, and all the amEnities made it one of the best stays for them... which is more than great because both of them have decided because of age related problems this would be their last visit to France.... I think not though....
It certainly will not be mine....
The restaurant in St. Didier provided us with a wonderful meal...
I found that I loved just doodling around the small villages rather than the busy busy larger centers... My shopping was succesful I was able to purchase some lovely fabric for some recovering jobs... Also it is supposed to be 30 degrees here this weekend and I do believe I am going to set up Provence style with my lovely tablecloth etc and do my turkey dinner out in the garden....
Thank you again.
Take care,
I.N.

Hi Philippe
We had a fantastic time at the Villa. It was a great location, so close to everything, so many villages were only 20 minutes away. We did a lot of exploring and really enjoyed the pool when we returned from our outings.
We will certainly book it again if we ever decide to visit the South of France again.
Have a wonderful weekend.

Dear Philippe:
It seems every time I try to write that something pops up and interferes. I did want to say how much we enjoyed the stay at La Peyriere and what a beautiful time of year to go there.
After a strong north wind (Mistral?) the skies cleared and the colors were fantastic. We were able to drive out every day and visit something new and fascinating but the surprise of the trip was Marseilles – what a spectacular city with its harbour and headlands. We ended up spending two days there exploring and loved it. I had no idea that there was so much history in the region – yes, I knew there was some but not so much. We were fortunate to hit a major art show which encompassed the entire center of St. Remy de Provence on a Sunday and wished we had unlimited funds to buy some of the paintings – they were very good.
Many thanks for your help in making the holiday work.

Subject: Our week in Carpentras
Philippe,
The time here at your Provence cottage has gone by very quickly.
Both B and I have had a great time with your home as a base camp from which to explore Provence. Not enough time to see everything.
Your cottage in Provence is lovely and very peaceful.

Subject: Great week!
Philippe, thank you for the week at La Nouvelle Peyriere! Everything worked out perfectly: the weather, the sleeps, the roads and the sightseeing. The food and the wines didn't hurt either!
We did have a few problems with the philosophy behind the signposting of roads and locations in France overall. We decided to skip a visit to Avignon due to having gotten lost there twice, to AND from Arles! We met with our neighbours during the week from Windsor, Ontario and from New Zealand.
We also found Fred very helpful and informative.
The table outside proved to be a wonderful retreat for our nightly bread, wine, cheese and tapenade suppers.
Thanks again, we were very pleased with the whole week!

Subject: Thanks for The Rental
Dear Philippe:
Not sure how you ever drag yourself away from Provence. We thought your place was a little slice of heaven on earth.
We so appreciated your taking the time to help guide us. We really made the most of our time there. If I had it to do again, however, I would have gone ahead, rented the car for an extra day and stayed at La Nouvelle. Our hotel in Avignon, while very nice, was pretty much out in the middle of nowhere -- a 20 Euro cab ride from the city center of Avignon. It would have made more sense to just do the extra day on the car. Should have taken your advice there. The food at the hotel's restaurant, however, was first rate.
Our cruise was wonderful -- went from Avignon, down to Arles, back to Avignon, then ended at Chalon sur Saone. We met a nice Canadian couple on the cruise and told them about your place. Perhaps if they
return to Provence, they'll see about renting it.
Again, thanks for all the travel tips. You might hear from us again one day.
That's a magical area of this world.
Sincerely,
J and G.H.
